1937   The first television outside broadcast that was transmitted in 405 lines and that was away from the grounds of Alexandra Palace, took place on 14th May 1937. The occasion was the Coronation of George VI.
1937  week starting Monday 11th October - No OBs until Friday. Then 'Round The Film Studios' a series of  eight  10 minute live visits to Denham Studios. The broadcasts are scheduled at 3pm and 9pm for 4 days starting on Friday 15th October. Interviews with the stars and watching Zoltan Korda direct Raymond Massey and Valerie Hobson in the production, 'The Drum', are among the items promised.
1938  week starting Sunday 8th May- No OBs until Saturday.
Saturday 14th May - 3pm for 15minutes - 'Polo' from The Hurlingham Club, Fulham. On Sunday 15th - Veteran Cars from the same location, Hurlingham - 3 to 3.45pm (conditions permitting) 

1938  week starting Sunday 9th October - No OBs until Thursday.
Thursday 13th 9 - 9.20pm - The Motor Show - direct from Earls Court.  Friday 15th 9 - 9.15 'The Chester Hale Girls' direct from the Dorchester Hotel. 9.15 -9.30pm second visit to the 'Motor Show'.

1939    week starting Sunday 14th May. Sunday 3.40 - 4pm 'Chelsea Flower Show' from the Royal Hospital Gardens, Chelsea.
Monday 2.40 - 3pm second visit to Chelsea Flower Show. Tuesday 9.30 -10pm - 'Indoor Professional Lawn Tennis' from the Empire Pool, Wembley. Friday 3- 3.20pm - 'Television Surveys....' No 10 - The History of Motor Racing - from Crystal Palace.
Saturday 2.50 - 3.05pm Motor Racing from Crystal Palace. 9.30 - 10pm - 'Professional Tennis' from Wembley.
